Enable Debugging on CM

User name and password are defined in configfile!

Telnet Login

  • get Password Of the Day (POD) from ARRISpwod.exe
  • do not use a Seed for firmware < 9.x - use Default Seed
  • use Seed for Firmware > 9 and do not set a password -> use POD
  • Note that Telnet musst be enabled via CM Configfile (no Seed or password must be specified - it's always the POD)
    ARRISpwod.exe

SIP - Tracing

login via telnet and enter following:

voice 			# enter voice menu
callp 			# enter call processing menu
trace 18 1 		# trace SIP Registration Messages
trace 20 1 		# trace SIP Calleg Message

callpEnblLog 1  # optionally enable logging

"The person you've called is temporarily not available" # number is registered on CMS, but MTA was shut down and is not reachable

# Note: if number is assigned correctly there's a normal ringtone appearing - the last mta that was registering correctly with this number is reached
